Tool Call Status
Understanding what tool call statuses mean and what to do about them.
Every tool call Agent0 makes shows up in the conversation with a status indicator.
| Status | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Succeeded | The tool returned the expected result | Nothing — this is the normal case |
| Skipped | Agent0 decided the call was unnecessary mid-run | Nothing, unless you expected the call to happen |
| Failed | The tool returned an error | Check the error detail; common causes are connector misconfiguration or upstream service issues |
| Pending approval | The tool creates, changes, or deletes something, and your organization requires approval first | Approve or deny it on the card in the conversation. If you don't want to be asked, an admin can turn off write action approval in Settings → Agent0 |
