Use MCP

Overview

Setting up the Dash0 MCP server is straightforward. Dash0 provides copy-paste configuration instructions for each supported tool.

Step 1: Find the Integration Instructions

In Dash0, navigate to the Integrations section. You'll find a growing set of AI integrations, each providing the same step-by-step setup instructions tailored to the specific tool:

Select the integration that matches your tool. Each integration page provides copy-paste instructions. You'll set up configuration snippets that register the Dash0 MCP server.

Copy the provided configuration and apply it as instructed. This typically involves adding the server definition to your tool's MCP configuration file.

Step 2: Verify the Connection

Once configured, verify that the Dash0 MCP server is connected:

• Inspect your MCP servers to confirm that the Dash0 server appears and is connected.
• Browse the list of tools exposed by the MCP server to see what capabilities are available.

Step 3: Start Querying

With the connection established, simply ask your LLM tool questions that involve Dash0 data. For example:
